銀合歡（學名：Leucaena leucocephala）別名白相思子、細葉番婆樹、臭菁仔。
银合欢原产于中美洲的墨西哥，适宜种植区域在世界热带银合欢它的抗风力很强的当然它的萌生力也是很强的，在对它进行砍伐以后因为有着较强的萌发力所以它的生长也会很旺盛的，特别是优良的树种，是非常适合生长在荒山造林的，银合欢它也是一种优良的多用途的树种，它的种子可以食用，它的树皮还能够提取作为材料。
银合欢含有含羞草素，有一定毒性，长时间舍饲单一喂用，家畜会发生中毒。中毒的症状有：脱毛、流涎、甲状腺肿大、精神痿糜、厌食、生长迟缓、消瘦、繁殖机能减退、生产性能下降等。当出现中毒症状应及时停喂银合欢用发酵、加热、浸泡、水煮等方法可降低银合欢毒性的危害。

目的研究银合欢根、树干、叶、种子及豆荚的降血糖作用。方法制备银合欢不同植株部位的水提物和醇提物，采用四氧嘧啶糖尿病小鼠模型、以及由肾上腺素和葡萄糖引起的高血糖小鼠模型，观察以上提取物对实验动物的降血糖效果。结果在三个动物模型中，叶和种子的醇提物和水提物均有明显的降血糖作用.
