甘，平。 性溫。
含有大黄酸，大黄酚,大黄素和芦荟大黄素
叶子或枝液含有大黄酚，具杀真菌作用，可以用来治疗皮肤病；由于其含有抗真菌成分，在菲律宾，它是香皂、洗发液、洗液的最常见成分之一；
