味
味甘、淡，性凉。
归肺经。
功效
具有清肝降浊，清肺止咳，散瘀消肿止痛之功效。常用于肝火上炎，高血压，痰浊，高血脂，糖尿病，肺结核咯血，肺炎；外用治跌打损伤肿痛。
相关配伍
采集加工:全年可采.采全草.洗净.鲜用或晒干备用。
1、治肺结核咳血：红丝线9-15g。水煎服。 （《广西本草选编》）
2、治口腔炎：红丝线9-15g。水煎服。忌鱼腥、韭菜和刺激性食物。 （《浙江民间常用草药》）
用法用量
15-30g。外用：适量，鲜品捣烂敷患处。
【注意】孕妇忌服。
民间方例:
(一) 痰火咳嗽.吐血 : 红丝线草鲜品2两.煲瘦肉4两.服汤食肉。

This is a species in the genus Peristrophe and the family Acanthaceae (previously described here as the synonym P. roxburghiana). It may be called magenta plant, or lá cẩm.
